The Special Adviser to the Kano State Governor on Commerce, Engineer Nura Hussain President, announced in an interview with journalists, a strategic initiative to invite foreign investors to invest in Kano. This announcement comes amidst the celebration of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf’s recent victory at the Supreme Court.

Engineer Nura Hussain highlighted Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf’s commitment to modernizing business activities in the state, emphasizing Kano’s position as the center of commerce in the West African region.

The administration aims to facilitate the transformation from analogue to digital, creating an environment conducive for the import and export of commodities within the city.

Describing Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf as a man of integrity, Engineer Nura Hussain commended the Governor’s dedication to trustworthiness and accountability in all his endeavors.

The adviser also congratulated the Governor for affirming his mandate through the recent Supreme Court ruling, emphasizing its significance in upholding democracy in the nation.

Furthermore, Engineer Nura Hussain underscored the overwhelming support and solidarity demonstrated by the people of Kano, exemplified by the enthusiastic reception of the Governor by a large crowd of supporters.

Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, has been unwavering in his commitment to securing the release of the teenagers, vowing to pursue all legal avenues to ensure their freedom.

In a statement, issued by governor’s spokesperson, Sanusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, governor Yusuf expressed gratitude for the collective efforts of human rights advocates, including renowned lawyer Femi Falana SAN, and others who fought tirelessly to secure the minors’ release.

“The Federal Government has today withdrawn the treason charges against the minors, who were primarily from Kano State.

“This is a victory for justice and human dignity,” said Barr. Suleiman Dantsoho, one of the human rights lawyers representing the teenagers.

He went on to praise Governor Yusuf for his dedication to the cause, noting that the Governor’s leadership and advocacy had been instrumental in ensuring the teenagers’ freedom.

“We commend Governor Abba Yusuf for his unwavering support and commitment to human rights and the dignity of his people,” Dantsoho added.

The teenagers are set to be formally handed over to Governor Yusuf by Vice President Kashim Shettima later today, before being flown back to Kano via Max Air.

This landmark decision underscores the importance of safeguarding the rights of individuals, especially minors, and demonstrates the power of legal advocacy in the face of injustice.
