Former aspirant for the house of representatives for Kumbotso Federal Constituency, Khalid Shettima,  commended Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf for his commendable start in office.

Shettima praised the governor for adopting the Kwankwasiyya ideology, which has set Kano State on a positive trajectory right from his first week in office.

Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, who assumed office amidst high expectations, has wasted no time in implementing the principles of the Kwankwasiyya movement, a political philosophy championed by former Governor Rabiu Kwankwaso. The ideology, which emphasizes grassroots development and inclusive governance, has resonated well with the people of Kano.

In light of the governor’s early achievements, Khalid Shettima called on the people of Kano to rally behind Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf and lend their support to his administration. Shettima believes that cooperation and unity are essential in order for the state to fully benefit from the governor’s visionary leadership. By working together, the people of Kano can contribute to the realization of the state’s developmental goals and aspirations.

Furthermore, Shettima expressed his optimism that if the current administration continues to adhere to the Kwankwasiyya ideology, it has the potential to expand its influence beyond Kano State. He suggested that the Kwankwasiyya movement, in collaboration with the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP), could capture several states in the forthcoming 2023 elections. The success of the ideology in Kano has demonstrated its appeal to the electorate, and Shettima believes that replicating this success in other states is a viable possibility.

The Kwankwasiyya movement has long been associated with progressive policies that prioritize the welfare of the people. Its focus on infrastructural development, education, and healthcare has endeared it to many Nigerians. As Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf continues to implement these policies, it is expected that they will positively impact the lives of the people of Kano State.

Shettima said the early strides made by Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf in aligning his administration with the Kwankwasiyya ideology have earned him praise from former aspirant Khalid Shettima. By urging the people of Kano to support the governor and highlighting the potential for the ideology’s expansion to other states, Shettima has emphasized the importance of unity and cooperation. As Kano State moves forward under this leadership, the implementation of Kwankwasiyya policies is expected to bring about significant developmental progress and improve the overall well-being of the people
