NNPP Condemns Attack on Muhuyi Magaji’s County Home, Invasion of Rimingado Community by APC Thugs

The opposition New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) in Kano State has condemned in totality, the attack on Barr. Muhuyi Magaji’s country home and the residents of other opposition NNPP members in Rimingado community by APC thugs who were on rampage last night.

The Thugs who are believed to be sponsored by the APC government have invaded the community at 7:00pm after the NNPP state campaign team departed the area who were in Rimingado for a rally.

The NNPP wish to sympathise with the residents of the community over the unfortunate incidence that left many injured and properties vandalised as part of APC’s deliberate attempts to scare away the voters ahead of 2023 general elections.

In a statement issued by Sanusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, the Chief Spokesperson of the NNPP State Campaign Council, described the attack as barbaric, inhumane to the dignity of the good people of the Rimingado.

Sanusi Bature added that no amount of pressure will deter the NNPP from taking necessary action against victimisation of innocent citizens on the orders of government officials who are supposed to protect the lives and properties of the general public.

“We are lucky, the police have arrested one of perpetrators of the attack, who on the process of his arrest injured a police officer of Rimingado division”

The Spokesperson also said, NNPP would ensure that justice is given to the victims and that the suspects are brought to book.

Buhari’s ex-ministers to defect to SDP

There are strong indications that some former ministers of ex-President Muhammadu Buhari will move en masse to the Social Democratic Party.

A senator in the ninth Assembly, who spoke  on condition of anonymity, said at least 10 former members of the Buhari cabinet were moving to the SDP.

“What they’re waiting for is the finalisation of the party structure in their respective states,” the source said.

In a significant move to promote equitable employment practices, Governor Abba K. Yusuf Of Kano state has announced the formation of the State Private Sector Employment Policy Committee. This initiative is aimed at domesticating the Federal Character Partial Principle within Kano State, ensuring that private sector organizations adopt fair and inclusive employment policies for both citizens and residents.

The newly constituted committee has been tasked with drafting a comprehensive state policy that will serve as a framework for equitable employment practices. This policy is expected to address disparities and foster inclusivity in the private sector, aligning with the broader goals of social justice and economic development.

The committee comprises a diverse group of experts and stakeholders from various sectors, reflecting a commitment to inclusivity and collaboration. The members include:

Deputy Senate President Senator Barau I. Jibrin has received Dr. Abdullahi Baffa Bichi and Muhammad Gambo Diggol, former SSG and Commissioner of Transport, recently sacked by Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf.
