Plateau PDP Chairman Kidnapping: Party Appeals for Swift Action and Safe Return of Hon. Dung Tari

The Plateau State People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has expressed concern over the Kidnapping of the PDP Chairman Hon. Dung Tari, (aka Yellow) of Jos South Local Government Area.

The Chairman of the PDP Plateau State Hon. Chris Adukuchili Hassan disclosed this to Journalists at the Party Secretariat in Jos.

Hon. Tari was kidnapped for about 3 weeks ago with out any information about his whereabout.

According to him,the sad incident occurred on the 25th September,2023 at Bukuru Total Junction where some unidentified Military men abducted one of our serving Local Government Area PDP Chairman in the person of Hon. Dung Tari (aka Yellow).

He said that, information reaching them that,he was abducted around 1:30 pm after a meeting with his Executive Committee of Jos South Local Government Chapter,at the Local Government Area Party office Bukuru which he picked his niece on his way to attend to a family matter.

While he stopped at Total Filling Stations Bukuru, parked to respond to calls, suddenly,two Toyota Hilux Pick-up trucks with military colours and number plates and men in Nigerian Military uniform surrounded him and bundled him into one of the Toyota Hilux Pick-up trucks.

In his words ,” while one of the soldiers forced his niece out of his private car and they proceeded to an unknown destination with no information from his abductors.

He explained that,until this time nothing has been heard from him or his abductors neither his family is informed of his where about and the reason for his abduction.

The Chairman further explained that,the Party have taken steps by reporting to the verious security agencies in the state to commence investigation as to his whereabout.

Hon. Hassan expressed worried of his safety because his absence is causing concerns to the Party and Jos South Local Government Area.

He further appeal to the National Security Adviser,Inspector General of Police,Chief of Army Staff,and the Director General DSS to use their good office to intervene and order for the immediate release of Hon. Dung Tari and promise to provide sureties who will produce him upon demand and called on all the party Faithful to remain calm and prayerful for his release.

Buhari’s ex-ministers to defect to SDP

There are strong indications that some former ministers of ex-President Muhammadu Buhari will move en masse to the Social Democratic Party.

A senator in the ninth Assembly, who spoke  on condition of anonymity, said at least 10 former members of the Buhari cabinet were moving to the SDP.

“What they’re waiting for is the finalisation of the party structure in their respective states,” the source said.

In a significant move to promote equitable employment practices, Governor Abba K. Yusuf Of Kano state has announced the formation of the State Private Sector Employment Policy Committee. This initiative is aimed at domesticating the Federal Character Partial Principle within Kano State, ensuring that private sector organizations adopt fair and inclusive employment policies for both citizens and residents.

The newly constituted committee has been tasked with drafting a comprehensive state policy that will serve as a framework for equitable employment practices. This policy is expected to address disparities and foster inclusivity in the private sector, aligning with the broader goals of social justice and economic development.

The committee comprises a diverse group of experts and stakeholders from various sectors, reflecting a commitment to inclusivity and collaboration. The members include:
