The New Nigeria People’s Party NNPP said the ruling All Progressive Congress APC and People’s Democratic Party’s lack of internal democracy is a threat to democracy in Nigeria.

The NNPP Gubernatorial candidate in Jigawa State Malam Aminu Ibrahim Ringim stated this while speaking with newsmen on Wednesday.

He said the New Nigeria People’s Party NNPP is the only party that is practicing internal democracy by providing an alternative to all Nigerians to aspire for any position of their choice.

According to him looking at what is happening during the ruling All Progressive party APC’s eight years and the sixteen years of the People’s Democratic Party PDP no right-thinking person can give them another chance to continue with their disastrous administrations.

“While for the people’s Democratic Party PDP’s sixteen years they still don’t know what is called internal democracy, the party is marginalized among few individuals who can do and undo, that is why when you look at the party they only imposed their sons as candidates because they think the party is their own”

He explained that the NNPP come into being as an alternative to Nigerians who think positively and want good for the country.

Ringim however stated advised Nigerians to make good use of the opportunity and make the right choice during 2023 general elections.

“This opportunity comes once in four years so use it wisely and vote for competency not money”

“Collect the money when they give you and make the right decision during Election Day,” Ringim said.

The Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kano State, Alhaji Abdullahi Abbas, has issued a strong statement regarding the potential return of political figures to the party. Speaking to journalists in Kano, Abbas emphasized that the APC would not provide refuge to individuals currently under investigation by anti-corruption agencies such as the EFCC and ICPC.

This declaration comes amidst rumors that members of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), particularly those aligned with the Kwankwasiyya faction, are considering a return to the APC. Abbas made it clear that anyone seeking to rejoin the party must first apologize to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Vice President Kashim Shettima, and APC National Chairman Abdullahi Umar Ganduje for past derogatory remarks made against them and the party.

Political analysts believe Abbas’s comments are a veiled reference to the leader of the Kwankwasiyya movement, Engr. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, who has been at the center of speculation regarding a possible defection. The Kano APC chairman’s remarks have sparked discussions about the conditions under which political reconciliation and realignment might occur within Nigeria’s political landscape.

How Bishop Oyedepo Escapes Assassins -Daughter

Published

Love Ogah, daughter of Bishop David Oyedepo, the founder of Living Faith Church Worldwide, has recounted a harrowing childhood experience involving a failed assassination attempt on her father.

Speaking during a sermon titled Building a Successful Marriage,” which she shared on her Instagram page Tuesday, Mrs. Ogah reflected on a night from her school years when a group of armed men stormed their home in search of her father.

“I remember when we were growing up—I believe I was in secondary school then—one particular night, we were visited in our house by hired killers,” she said. “They came to our house specifically, stating from the time they entered the gate, ‘We’re here to execute him.’ By ‘him’, they meant my father (Bishop David Oyedepo). Our house was like a war zone. They were like, ‘Where is he?’”

According to her, the attackers searched the entire house for hours, unaware that the man they were looking for was watching them the entire time.

“The most interesting thing I’ll never forget in my life, which has stuck with me since I was a child, was that he (Oyedepo) was looking at them the entire time, but they couldn’t see him,” she said. “They ransacked our house for hours. There was a time we hid behind the door, and at a particular point, they shut the door. The door hit my lip—my entire top gum came off, and my gum was dangling. They came ready to execute.”

Despite the chaos, Oyedepo remained unharmed and hidden in plain sight. Mrs. Ogah described how, after the intruders left, family members were in disbelief when the bishop emerged from his room unscathed.

“After they ransacked the whole house for hours, my aunt came into the house crying. She said, ‘Oh my God, I don’t know what would have happened. Oh my God, where is he?’ And my father came out of his room, and we all looked like it was a film trick. He said, ‘I was staring at them the entire time.’ They entered his room and ransacked everywhere—he was looking, but they couldn’t find him,” she recounted

Using the story as a metaphor for divine protection and spiritual resilience, Mrs. Ogah urged believers to deepen their personal relationship with God.

“When you’re in the centre of God’s will for your life, challenges will come to test what you stand on. You can’t fake this thing forever,” she said.
