Another Pictorial evidence obtained by the Nigerian Tracker is the House where another ex-emir of Kano and grandfather of Emir Muhammad Sunusi stayed in 1963 after his abdication from the throne of Kano the same Azare Town.

According to Wikipedia Muhammadu Sanusi II (Sanusi Lamido Sanusi;) born 31 July 1961) was the 14th Emir of Kano from the Fulani Sullubawa clan.[1] He ascended the throne on 8 June 2014, following the death of his grand-uncle Ado Bayero. He was dethroned on 9 March 2020 by Kano State government.[2][3]

Prior to his accession, Sanusi was an economist and banker. He served as the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria from 2009 to 2014, when he was suspended by President Goodluck Jonathan after raising the alarm on the US$20 billion NNPC scandal.[4]

Sanusi received early Islamic education at home, where he learned the Qur’anIslamic jurisprudence, and the traditions of the Prophet Muhammad. He then attended St. Annes Primary School, a Catholic boarding school in KakuriKaduna. In 1973, Sanusi was admitted into King’s College, Lagos, where he graduated in 1977.[7]

He then proceeded to Ahmadu Bello University in Zaria, where he received a bachelor’s degree in economics in 1981. After graduating, he spent a year undergoing his National Youth Service in Gongola State (now Adamawa and Taraba) as a teacher in girls boarding school in Yola.

He then returned to the university where he received a master’s degree in economics with a concentration in risk management in 1983 and lectured at the faculty for two years.[8]

Sanusi later received a degree in Sharia and Islamic studies from the International University of Africa in Khartoum in 1997.

At the university, he studied in Arabic the works of prominent Western thinkers and Islamic authorities including PlatoAristotleAl-GhazaliIbn RushdIbn TaymiyyahIbn Khaldun, amongst others, and was also exposed to the four Sunni madhhabs of HanafiMalikiShafi’i and Hanbali.[9]

Sultan of Sokoto Urges Nigerians to Stop Criticizing Leaders and Allow God to Deal With Them

Nigerians have been urged to desist from castigating their leaders and all those in authority.

This call was made to Nigerians by the Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Sa’ad Abubakar III on Monday at the the Regional Conference on Climate Change-Induced Conflicts in Northern Nigeria hosted in Kaduna.

According to the Sultan, it is important that Nigerians rather than insult their leaders, they should allow God to really with them.

He also urgee Nigerians to contibue praying for their keaders and tne nation as a whole.

He further called on religious leadera accros Nigeria to quit misleadinh members of ghwir congregation.

“A lot of people say we have never had it so bad, but no matter how difficult it is, ease will come. We believe nothing lasts forever.

“Nothing bad and nothing good lasts forever. Let us intensify prayers in our congregations and encourage our followers to pray for our leaders.

“We will not castigate them; we will allow Almighty Allah to deal with them as He wishes and He will,” the Sultan notes.

Breaking: Court Drops Charges Against Minors

The Federal High Court in Abuja on Tuesday struck out the charges brought against a total of 119 #EndBadGovernance protesters.

All 119 protesters were arraigned on Friday, November 1 on charges bordering on Treason felony, inciting to mutiny, among others.

The defendants were arraigned in two batches at the previous proceeding.

The first batch comprised a total of 76 protesters which included 32 minors and the second batch a total of 43 protesters.

The trial judge, Justice Obiora Egwuatu, struck out the suit following an application by the counsel to the Attorney General of the Federation, M. D Abubakar, to take over and discontinue the matter.
