NDA Raises Alarm, says Tinubu Working To Cause Chaos In The North

President Bola Ahmad Tinubu

A group, the Northern Democratic Alliance (NDA) has discovered a well articulated plan of action being put in place by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to destabilize the North.

According to the group, the plan is to weaken the North socially, politically and economically so as to make it unable to challenge him (Tinubu) in 2027.

This is contained in a statement issued by the Convener of NDA, Mallam Hamisu Abdullahi Gombe and Secretary, Mr. Josiah Danjuma Pam in Kaduna on Saturday.

In the statement made available to the media also on Saturday, the group however warned leaders of the region not to be complacent and slack but wake up to the new reality confronting the region.

“We are using this occasion and opportunity provided by this medium to call on all well meaning leaders in the North, be they secular and religious to brace up for what is coming to our land.

“Certain leaders have been marked down, some of them are for governor of Kaduna State, Mall. Nasir Elrufai, Sen. Kwankwaso, Atiku Abubakar, Sen. Danjuma Goje, Sen. Sani Yerima, Sen. Yari and many others not to mention.

“We are also calling on them to close ranks in the interest of our people so as not to be caught off guard,” the statement reads in part.

According to the group, “The president sensing his growing unpopularity in the country, particularly in the North is aiming to snatch key states in the region and he has started.”

The group stated that the ruling All Progressives Congress, (APC) is doing all it can to snatch key states of Zamfara, Kano and Plateau from the opposition with a view to installing the stooges into office who will in turn ensure that the party wins the states by hook or crook.

Sounding a note of warning, the NDA urged leaders in the region not to see the developments as mere political or consigned to the judiciary, the leaders must unite to stop president Tinubu imperial and dictatorship tendency.

It stated that the consequences for allowing the trend to continue will further cause untold problems for the North which is currently on the reeling under the yoke of armed banditry and Boko Haram insurgency.

“Only last week, the president was quick in intervening in the political crises in Ondo state where the governor and the deputy governor were at loggerhead because it’s a Yoruba state but at the same time, he’s fueling political tensions in the north using judiciary as a tool.

“The people of Kano state elected their governor peacefully without any rancour, all of sudden some pliant judges at the tribunal criminally manufactured a judgement saying about 165,000 ballot papers were not stamped and that the governor is not a member of NNPP, all these are lies, Nigerians are not fool as they think” he said.

am not saying that I didn’t make mistakes; of course, there are lots of mistakes. Every leader does. It behoves on the current president to look at the history of the country to see where mistakes have been made and he tries to correct those mistakes and also does his own the way he thinks the country should be governed.”
