The Famous Islamic Scholar In Kano Sheikh Ibrahim Khalil said listening to songs bring about tranquility , strengthen faith ,hardwork and commitment .

The Sheikh Made the statement on Sunday during the celebration of Prophet Muhammads Maulud Peace and Blessings of Allah be upon him held at the residence of Sheikh Nasidi Abubakar Goron Dutse in the ancient city of Kano.

Sheikh Ibrahim Khalil who is the chairman Kano Council Of Ulama said that is why in the olden days when there is self help group work in Kano a certain singer is invited to entertain the guests.

Children still beg on the streets of Kano

Sheikh Khalil added that apart from that a famous Singer called will come with his drums while work is going on ,he sings and people who engage in self help work are entertained to the highest.

Sheikh Khalil cited a tradition of the Prophet Of Islam Peace be upon him transmitted by Bukhari said when the Prophets Mosque is in the stage of building and a certain historical hole in Arabia called Alkhandaq was being dug people were entertained with songs.

But despite this Sheikh Khalil said Prophet Muhammad Sallallahu alaihi Wassallam never sings but his companions have done so.

A Kano credible online Newspaper LABARAI24 reports that the well learned Sheikh advised that singing from time to time improved the level of one’s state of happiness and reinvent people’s thinking.

Therefore an individual should not prevent himself from listening to songs, and when people says song is prohibited in Islam ,it is that type of song that is replete with vulgar, insult and that also leads to corrupting people’s heart”said Sheikh Khalil

But for songs where the Prophet peace be upon him is praised is like a well talked manner ,and good words are good words whether its in songs or not.

Sheikh Ibrahim Khalil said songs can not be abhorred unless if its interwoven with abuse ,vulgar language, then it is that type of songs detest by Islam.

Therefore you should not deny your self listening to songs especially the famous Book of Ishriniya authored by Alfazazi because those types of songs are full with wisdom and knowledge.noted Sheikh Ibrahim Khalil.
