A Rebuttal of The Illegal And Misleading Actions of Suspended Deputy National Chairman (North) Dr. Abdul Isiaq Ahmed And His Collaborators.

In a statement by Ambassador Rufus B Aiyenigba, the
National Publicity Secretary, said the attention of the National Working Committee (NWC) of the Social Democratic Party, SDP, under the leadership of Dr Olu Agunloye has been drawn to the various actions and misleading statements credited to Party’s erstwhile Deputy National Chairman (North), who had been duly suspended since January 17, 2022 by the NWC of the party, for reasons that were contingent upon  gross misconduct, acts of insurbodination and anti- party activities which are considered inimical to the true interest of the party, and which generally constitute impeachable infractions of the provisions of the  constitution of our party.

According to Rufus Ayeingba the Social Democratic Party (SDP)Said ” Members of the SDP across the country, and the general Nigerian public are by this formal statement from the National Headquarters of our great party, hereby advised to disregard in it’s entirety, the claims of our suspended DNC-North and his co-travellers in their acts that are undeniably  calculated to undermine the party”

Attempted Coup: Buhari receives briefing on situation in Guinea Bissau
“The following, are the reasons for which the public should not  give any further regards to their actions and claims which are meant to distract the party: 1.That Dr. Abudul Isiaq Ahmed had been duly suspended from the party, and he remains suspended 2.That his suspension was unanimously approved and actioned by the NWC of the party, and duly communicated to the INEC National Headquarters, the Nigerian Police Headquarters, as well as all relevant agencies 3That while the party as a truly democratic institution that is guided by rule of law and due process, gave the suspended Dr. Abdul Isiaq Ahmed the necessary privilege of a fair hearing by providing the windows for him to explore the party’s internal crisis management mechanism, we hear that he has deliberately opted for litigation to seek to be declared Chairman through the back door! And having approached two courts in his desperation to undo the party, he refused to wait for the pronouncements of the courts on his prayers before deciding to preemptively act on the outcomes of his suits against the party, by arrogating to himself the Chairmanship of the party “

“4.That the party is yet to be formally served any court papers regarding his reported two suits. 5.As a party that has a responsible national leadership that knows and has high regards for due process and rule of law, we would not jump into the fray and begin to comment that are subjudice on the issues he has filled for, nor get into diatribes which would  dignify his claims, his collaborators and financiers in their unholy alliance. 6.That Dr. Olu Agunloye -led National Working Committee (NWC) is the only  recognized national leadership of the SDP by the INEC Headquarters, and to buttress this claim, the party few days ago, conducted it’s primary elections (monitored by INEC) and nominated its candidates in Plateau, Ondo, and in the other States where the Commission declared bye-elections to fill vacant seats in the House of Representatives.  “

7. The  general public should also take note that the only legitimate bodies that was set up by our party for conciliation purposes is the standing *National Reconciliation and Dispute Resolution Committee* which was enpanneled by NWC of the SDP,. Also, we wish to add that the party recognizes and is working collaboratively with the interventionist *Special Reconciliation Committee* which was set up by the new national leadership of Inter-Party Advisory Council (IPAC).

8.The general public is therefore, hereby advised  not to pay even the tiniest attention to political shenenigans been sponsored for the self-serving purposes of  distracting and destabilising the party for their personal gains and benefits in an election year.

9. It is also reassuring to aver that all members and officials of the SDP at all levels, nationwide, have risen up in unison and are in condemnation of the ungoing unholy actions of Dr. Abdul Isiaq Ahmed and his few co-travellers who have obviously constituted themselves into a group elements of distability.

10 It is also hereby asserted that the structures of the SDP at all levels, are in total support for the  leadership of Dr Olu Agunloye as the National Chairman, Alhaji Shehu Musa Gabam as National Secretary and other members of the NWC. Dr. Agunloye  remains meticulously and single-mindedly focused, determined and unwaveringly committed to strengthening and repositioning the SDP,  and to championing and robust advocacy to engender a *re-engineering and creation of a new model* for the Nigerian nation-state towards building a good society based on the *social justice ideology and pro- people  manifesto* of the Social Democratic Party, SDP.

11.As a national political party that offers a refreshing hope for Nigerians in getting a better deal for them, we refuse to be destracted, and will shall continue to remain resolute in keeping ours eyes on the ball as we work towards getting the party primed as the credible alternative that is set to win the presidency in 2023, form government, implement our manifesto, work to rescue Nigeria, secure lives and property of citizens, and make life truly better and meaningful for the Nigerian people.

200,000 APC Members in Kano Dismiss Allegations Against Ministerial Nominee Yusuf Abdullah Atta as Baseless

Published

Over 200,000 members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kano State have dismissed allegations of incompetence against the ministerial nominee, retired Hon. Yusuf Abdullah Atta, as baseless. Some APC members in Kano believe the allegations stem from personal grudges held by a few individuals who are not legitimate members of the party.

In a statement, Mustapha Gidan Magani, the secretary of APC Kwaciri Ward, on behalf of the entire executive committee of APC Fagge Local Government Area, rejected the allegations of anti-party activities during the 2023 general election. The executives argued that those intending to submit a petition to the Senate, claiming to represent 50,000 APC members, have no legal standing to make such claims.

The APC executives from Fagge Local Government Area are prepared to counter the petition, asserting that it will have little impact on the confirmation of Atta as Minister of State for Housing and Urban Development. They expressed gratitude to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for nominating Atta, highlighting his administrative skills and dedication to serving humanity.

PDP Youth Activist Calls for Suspension of Shekarau, Bello Hayatu from the party

Published

Salisu Usman Karaskabuli, a youth activist of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Kano, has called for the immediate suspension of several high-ranking party members, including former governor Ibrahim Shekarau, Bello Hayatu Gwarzo, and Yahaya Bagobiri.

He accused them of sabotaging the party’s efforts in the state and hindering PDP’s progress in the region.

Addressing journalists in Kano, Salisu Karaskabuli alleged that Shekarau has engaged in anti-party activities during the 2023 governorship election.
“Despite being a PDP leader, the majority of his supporters backed the APC candidate,” Salisu Karaskabuli said.
He further claimed that Shekarau is already mobilizing his supporters to work for Senator Barau’s governorship ambitions in 2027, signaling ongoing disloyalty.

Salisu Karaskabuli also blamed the PDP National Vice Chairman for the Northwest Bello Hayatu Gwarzo for failing to unite the party across the region.
He noted that prominent PDP members, such as former governors Ibrahim Shema of Katsina and Ramalan Yero of Kaduna, had defected to other parties due to Gwarzo’s ineffective leadership.
Concerning the recent PDP congress in Kano, Usman expressed frustration, rejecting the outcomes of the ward, local government, and state congresses.
He accused the leadership of the party for partisan zoning and disqualifying candidates without valid reasons.

Further accusations were leveled at Yahaya Bagobiri, the chairman of PDP elders in Kano.
Salisu Usman claimed that Bagobiri had leaked sensitive party information to the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) leader Rabiu Kwankwaso.

Usman Karaskabuli called on the national leadership of the PDP to investigate the accused members and, if found guilty, take appropriate disciplinary action.

The accusations come at a time when the PDP in Kano and the wider Northwest is grappling with internal divisions, which some fear could weaken the party ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Sadiq Ali Sango

Sadiq Ali Sango, a prominent youth activist of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kano State, has called on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to consider appointing Murtala Sule Garo as a minister in the forthcoming cabinet reshuffle.
Sango made this known in a statement released to journalists in Kano.

The Federal Government recently announced that President Tinubu would soon reshuffle his cabinet, sparking widespread speculation over potential new appointees.
Sango expressed optimism that Garo, a grassroots politician with a proven track record, would be a fitting choice for a ministerial position.

“Murtala Sule Garo is not only a politician but a true son of the soil, with immense contributions to the APC in Kano,” Sango stated.
“His service as the APC’s deputy gubernatorial candidate in the 2023 election and his unwavering commitment to the party despite not having the reins of government in Kano makes him the ideal candidate for Tinubu’s cabinet.”

Sango further highlighted Garo’s role in holding the party together during difficult times, describing him as the “supporting pillar” of the APC in Kano.
“He has carried the party on his shoulders, providing support to party leaders and members alike,” he added.

With the APC no longer in control of Kano State’s government, Garo’s influence at the grassroots level has been pivotal for the party’s continued strength in the region.
According to Sango, Garo’s appointment would reinforce the party’s position in Kano and contribute to the success of President Tinubu’s administration.

The call for Murtala Sule Garo’s inclusion in the Federal Executive Council comes amid growing anticipation regarding the composition of the new cabinet and the need for strong political figures to represent Kano at the national level.
