NASFAT builds’ 4000 worshippers capacity Mosque in Kano

The Emir of Kano, Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero has sent delegates to inspect the newly built Jumat mosque in Sabon gari Kano state.

The ultra-modern mosque was built by the leadership of Nasrul Lahi L fatih (NASFAT) in Northwest Zone 1 covering Kano, Jigawa and Katsina states with accommodation capacity of 4000 worshipers at a time.

The delegates which was led by the Chief Imam of Kano and a former Vice Chancellor of Bayero University, Kano Prof. Sani Zahraddin was accompanied by the Fagge district head Alh. Mahmoud Ado Bayero.

The delegates did a thorough inspection to confirm that the newly built Mosque conform with positioning to Qibla and other sharia compliant requirements.

The delegate also commended NASFAT for maintaining a good relationship with other Islamic organisation’s within the immediate environment and non Muslims alike.

Prof. zaharadeen also praised the leadership of NASFAT for her pioneering roles in various Dawah areas and noting that the emirate has been following NASFAT activities with keen interest.

The Fagge district head Alh. Mahmoud Ado Bayero, thanked the Yoruba community for co-habiting in the state peacefully.

On his part, the NASFAT zonal Chairman Alh. Kazeem Taoreed appreciated the level of respect, love that the Kano emirate reserved for NASFAT. He noted that the mosque is just one out of other numerous part of NASFAT programs, while stating that Fountain University, Osogbo was created by NASFAT to create an enlighten Muslim society which has been graduating students for a long time.

He noted that in addition to numerous primary and second schools NASFAT has over the federation which will be replicated in Kano very soon.

‘’NASFAT Relief Initiative as an NGO arm of NASFAT has spent N65m so far on members and non members nationwide to cushion the effect of Covid-19.’ Kazeem noted.

Alh. Kazeem also stated NASFAT intention is to have full Islamic complex in Kano to accommodate Primary and secondary school, Islamiya and a host of other projects.

The inspection event witness the presence of NASFAT Branch Excos, Council of elders members, women management committee and youth leadership.

Senate To Move Presidential Inauguration Venue From Eagle Square To N’Assembly

The Senate says it is considering a legislative move to institutionalise a presidential address every June 12, in recognition of the day’s historical significance.

This is just as it is also considering the change of venue of presidential inauguration to the National Assembly from the current Eagles Square venue.

The Leader of the Senate, Opeyemi Bamidele, disclosed this in an interview with reporters on Tuesday, stating that the Senate is hoping to prepare a bill to formalise the President’s speech to the nation on that date.

“We are hoping to bring a bill soon to institutionalise the President’s address on June 12 because of its historical importance.

“There can’t be a better time to address the nation through the parliament than on June 12, especially since it is a joint sitting of the National Assembly”, Bamidele said.

He further revealed that the proposed legislation would also seek to designate the National Assembly Complex as the venue for future presidential swearing-in ceremonies.

He added, “We are hoping, in that bill, to ensure that the swearing-in ceremony of the next President and Commander-in-Chief of Nigeria, whom we believe is President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, will be held within the arcade of the National Assembly.”
