Following an announcement by the Kano State government on re-opening of Schools, parents have fully complied and have taken their children to School in Kano early Monday morning.
Nigerian Tracker correspondent who went round the city says children were seen forming rows and their Head Teachers have conducted assembly sessions for the children in primary and secondary schools across the state which ensures their return.
A parent in Kano metropolis Salisu Baffayo said he is very happy that after 7 months of a long stay, children have now returned to school.
As parents, it was not easy for the majority of us and as such we are going to complement the efforts of their teachers to ensure that they acquire good and sound Knowledge.
Another parent Salame Abdullahi says she is very happy, as a parent who has kids that are in Primary and secondary schools I have never experience this kind of scenario since I married for more than fifteen years, and now their return has made me happier
Salame Abdullahi added that Covid-19 has made them shape their lives and that of their children for the past seven months from lock-down to the inability of schools to resume in Kano, but now we thank the Almighty Allah for making it possible.

Another parent who talks to Nigerian Tracker Ikechukwu Emmanuel says Covid 19 has been a turning point for their lives, children, and that of their teachers noting that since the beginning of the school’s shut down it has not been easy for teachers and school proprietors in Kano, they lacked the funds to continue their lives as usual.

Ikechukwu added that the government should come in because at a time like this people are in hardship.
Hajiya Halima Abubakar is the proprietor of Ramat International school in Kano said as school resumes one of the challenges they are facing currently is that of funds.
Halima Abubakar says most of the parents that brought their children back to school ask them to be more patient before they still their children’s fees till the end of the month.
She says apart from the parents, school teachers also needs some re-enforcement for the purpose of coming and going back to school and their return is very essential
