Kano Tricycle Rider Returns Over 10 Million CFA Francs and Nearly 3 Million Naira to Passengers

Auwalu Salisu Nababa, a young tricycle rider in Kano, has earned praise for his honesty after returning over 10 million CFA Francs and nearly 3 million Nigerian Naira to his passengers.

Auwalu Salisu Nababa recounted the incident during an interview with the popular Kano-based FM station, Arewa Radio. He explained that the passengers had forgotten a significant amount of cash in the back of his tricycle after disembarking. These passengers had traveled from neighboring Chad Republic to conduct business in Kano. Initially, they had given up hope of ever recovering their money.

However, their fortunes changed when the radio station broadcasted an announcement about the lost cash. Auwalu Salisu Nababa heard the announcement and promptly contacted the station, providing the necessary details to prove his honesty.

Auwalu’s father, who himself faces difficulties in providing for his family due to the hardships that Nigerians are enduring, encouraged his son to do the right thing by returning the money to its rightful owners.

Upon receiving their lost funds, the owners of the money were visibly moved to tears, overwhelmed with joy and gratitude for Auwalu’s integrity.

In recognition of his honesty and good deed, Auwalu Salisu Nababa was later gifted with 400 thousand Naira, a token of appreciation for his remarkable act of integrity
