NDE trains  30 youths on Environmental beautification

The National Directorate of Employment (NDE) in Kano, has trained 30 youths on Environmental beautification.

 

The Kano State Acting Coordinator of the Agency, Malam Abubakar Isah, said this at the flag off of the Environmental Beautification Training Scheme (EBTS) in Thursday in Kano.

 

He said that the training was designed to train unemployed persons in the art of soft hard landscaping encompassing among others horticulture, flower production, production of fancy bricks, landscaping, building, POP production,interlocking blocks and fixing.

 

“In its employment generation strategies, the NDE will continue to evolve news schemes in its various departments to combat the menace of unemployment in the country despite current dwelling economic situation in the country,” he said.

 

According to him, the training will also impact specialized and marketable skills on the targeted unemployed youths, better equipping them and enhancing their chances of being employed on becoming enterpreneurs.

 

Isah lauded the efforts of stakeholders that have been supporting youth empowerment and solicited for their continuous interventions.

 

The acting coordinator urged owners of the Small and Medium business where the participants would be posted for training and the local authorities to see them as their own and join in nurturing and mentoring them to be fully established as enterprenuers.

 

He further urged the participants to take the training seriously and grasp all aspect of the package so as to optimize the opportunity made available to them and justify the investments being made.

 

Some of the participants who spoke to our correspondent thanked the directorate and the federal government for the gesture and promised to share the knowledge with orders.
