In a recent interview with Newsmen in Kano, Alhaji Abdulkadir Abdussalam, the State Accountant General, announced that the Kano state government is committed to promptly paying the salaries of civil servants. Starting from today, Monday, the 26th of June 2023, civil servants can expect to receive their June salaries.
Under the directive of State Governor Engineer Abba Kabir Yusuf, all civil servants will now receive their salaries on the 25th of every month, providing financial security and stability for state employees. This move aims to improve the welfare of workers and ensure timely disbursement of their hard-earned earnings.
However, newly employed workers will not receive their salaries this month. The state government plans to conduct a thorough verification process to confirm the legitimacy of their employment before commencing their monthly salary payments. This measure is crucial in maintaining transparency and accountability in the state’s workforce.
Furthermore, Alhaji Abdulkadir Adussalam reassured all employees, including pensioners, that the current administration will not tolerate any illegal deductions from their salaries. Each individual will receive their full salary, guaranteeing their financial well-being and acknowledging their dedication to public service.
With this commitment to financial stability and fair remuneration, the Kano state government aims to foster a motivated and productive workforce while fostering trust and transparency in its operations.
