The Association of Kano Online Journalists extends its warm congratulations to Engr. Abba Kabir Yusuf, popularly known as Abba Gida-Gida, on his victory as the Governor-Elect of Kano State. We believe that Abba’s widespread popularity, capabilities, and track record over the years have earned him a special place in the hearts of the people of Kano and beyond.
As a man believed to restore Kano State to its past glory of economic prosperity, industrial/commercial development, and and infrastructural and human progress, Abba Gida-Gida is poised to deliver the dividends of democracy to the good people of the state. As a professional body that played a significant role in propagating both NNPP and the Governor-Elect’s manifestos, we are proud to identify with his Excellency Abba Yusuf.
We are confident that Abba Gida-Gida’s readiness to pilot the affairs of the state in a grand and progressive style will bring about the desired progress in Kano State. We call on all stakeholders concerned to rally around him and provide him with every necessary support needed to take the state to greater heights.
