In a recent statement released by Garba Shehu, Senior Special Assistant to the President (Media & Publicity), the Nigerian Presidency has strongly denounced and condemned the circulation of a false quote attributed to President Muhammadu Buhari by the fake news brigade. The government has assured citizens that the transition phase is proceeding smoothly and without any hitches.
The Transition Committee, which comprises representatives from both the outgoing and incoming administrations, has been meeting on a daily basis to plan the handover to the Tinubu/Shettima administration. With thirteen committees already in operation, including one for military drills and pulling out of President Buhari, everything is going well.
President Buhari is looking forward to returning to his hometown, Daura, after serving the nation for two successful terms of eight years. The community has already begun preparations to welcome him back home.
The successful and smooth transition of power to the Tinubu/Shettima administration is undoubtedly great news for Nigeria and its citizens.
