As SEDSAC celebrates its 6th year anniversary (2017~2023), the organization wishes to enjoin Nigerians to embrace peace and obey constituted authorities in our journey to a virile nation, more so in this trying period of economic hardship and general insecurity across the country.
In a statement issued by its executive Director Umar Hamisu Kofar Naisa said as the 2023 general elections approaches no one should conspire to take advantage of the current social and economic turmoil as manifested by fuel scarcity, change in currency denominations etc to instigate violence in the land.
Accordingly, the people should immediately report any suspicious character or movement to security agencies in line with the civic responsibilities of the citizens.
Meanwhile, the Federal Government through the Central Bank of Nigerian,CBN should regulate the country’s monetary policies that ensure the availability of the new currency notes and ease the anxiety on the cash withdrawal limit in order to stimulate the economy. Similarly, SEDSAC wishes to call on the FG to take all possible measures to end oil scarcity that lead to unnecessary hardship.
SEDSAC joins all well- meaning citizens to call on eligible Nigerians voters to prepare for the forthcoming elections to elect credible persons into political offices in order to salvage the country from collapse.
