The Independent campaign council for Tinubu Shettima has approved the appointment of former military administrator of Kaduna state retired Brigadier General Lawal Jaafar Isa as its coordinator in Kano.
In a statement issued by the National coordinator of the independent campaign council Ali Silas Agara said General Isa was chosen due to his track record in effective grassroot mobilisation since his days as military administrator of Kaduna state and as Gubernatorial Candidate of the defunct CPC in Kano during the 2011 general elections.
Independent Campaign Council, is a backup of the Presidential Campaign Council saddled with the responsibility of grassroots mobilization and door-to-door campaign to garner support for the presidential candidate of the APC.
Speaking shortly, after receiving the appointment letter Brigadier General Lawal Jaafar Isa retired said he will deploy his experience as grassroot politician to ensure Senator Bola Ahmad emerge as elected President on 25 February 2022.
He also thanked the National coordinator of the group Ali Silas Agara for reposing confidence in him and promised to deliver.
