The educated are the ones to defend, advance and promote education. Because they pursue education they know it’s values the most. It is therefore unthinkable to expect uneducated to come to the aid of education, no don’t even expect that . Between literacy and illiteracy are two historic enemies, so are between literates and the illiterates. While the former are living the later are dead. So mind not the dead ! ASUU members please note that it is your constitutional, cultural and religious responsibility to defend, advance and promote education.

The illiterates can’t and will not for they have the eyes but can’t see, the brain but can’t reason, the heart but can’t beat and the body but can’t feel. They assume that the head God gave you is mainly for fetching water, carrying loads and drawing woods oblivious of the fact that deep inside the head there exists  brain .

Brain itself feeds on knowledge and knowledge is oftenly applied to recreate and transform man and his environment. Those tabula rasa will never understand that the difference between developed and undeveloped world is simply the difference in the investment in education. Those that invested heavily in education are now living in peace while we are living in trouble, they live in wealth while we live in abject poverty, they creat while we destroy, they speak while we shout and they produce while we wrongly consume . The Prophet of Islam once said that he pitied the educated in the midst of those who are ignorant , I accordingly pity ASUU. When ASUU members are treated with ferocious disdain and contempt for trying to salvage the future of the country they so much love it is very much expected , ASUU themselves should know that, for worst had happened to the knowledgeable like them centuries before them. Never give up , posterity would be by your side.
