Federal University Dutse, FUD has warned the University communities against the act of allowing their animals into the university’s perimeter.
Vice Chancellor of the University, Abdulkarem Sabo Muhammad ring the bell warning at one year anniversary media interactive held at the University Senate Chamber.
He said part of the challenges the university is facing is the presence of stray animals in the university premises despite perimeter fencing.

“We have completed our perimeter fencing which has reduced the incidence of stray animals destroying our flowers but we still noticed these animals in the campus”
” Some of the owners of these animals are now destroying part of our fence to give their animals access in to the university”
The Vice-chancellor therefore appealed to the owners of the domestic animals to keep them off campus.
He noted that the university will not hesitate to arrest and take action on the owners of the animals.
The Vice-chancellor said the first thing he focused on when he took over a year ago was the renovation and construction of students hostels as well as payments of a three year backlog of unpaid staff promotion arrears.
“We also deployed an efficient, responsive, and user friendly result processing module for the university namely ‘MY RESULT” whereby, students can access their results online”
Professor Sabo therefore reiterated the university’s committed to enthroning a culture of academic excellence and inculcating the right values in students.
