<p>Kano House of Assembly has urged the state government to, as a matter of urgency, assist victims of fire outbreaks at Dawaki Gabas, in Dawakin Tofa local government area of the state.</p>

<p>In their contributions, members representing Kabo, Alhaji Ayuba Labaran (APC) and Alhaji Magaji Zarewa (APC-Rogo), said the provision of relief materials to the fire victims would ease their suffering.</p>
<p>They also called on the House standing committee on emergency relief and the state government to expedite action on the issue.</p>
<p>After deliberations by the lawmakers, the House unanimously adopted the motion and urged the state government to take the necessary action.</p>
<p>The House then mandated its standing committee on emergency relief to assess the level of damage and submit its report within one week, for further legislative action.</p>
