Malala’s Marriage: Activist Sues Social Media Influencer Over Mockery

An activist in Kano North western Nigeria Zainab Nasir Ahmad has vowed to sue a social media influencer known as Ibrahim Sarki Abdullahi for mocking her and making her a subject of ridicule on social media.

Zainab Nasir Ahmad a Kano Indigene came into limelight almost three years ago when she made a comment that generates reaction “that marriage is not an achievement'”

She has been receiving criticism since she made that comment which seems to have died down.

But this week a serious trigger was made when a world nobel peace prize winner Malala announced her low key marriage which on facebook.

In a twist of event social media users in Kano turned to Zainab Nasir Ahmad and started mocking her over her previous comment.

Below is her full statement

“I’m writing this to let Ibrahim Sarki Abdullahi know that I’m on the process of taking a legal action against him and refunds for the damages caused by his behavior through using my picture and turning it into subject of ridicule in public. I speak to my family and close friends and I accept the kind advices by them to take an action legally to protect myself and preserve my dignity
