The newly elected leadership of the Shahuci Old Pupils Association SOPA has been urged to work hard towards emancipating its members and upholding the legacy of the oldest primary school in Kano.
General Ibrahim Sani an old pupil of the school while congratulating the new executives led by Barrister Dalha Daneji said the school which was established in1919 holds a special place in the history of Kano and the north and called on the new leadership to work assiduously towards uplifting the prestigious institution.

He also called on old pupils of the school to put hands on deck in maintaining the reputation and glory the school has which all have benefitted from.
The new executives were elected on Sunday 28 March 2021 and had Amina Hassan as vice president, Tijjani Muhammad Yakasai as Secretary general while Khalid Imam got the assistant secretary general.
Nura Umar and Aminu Abdullah were elected financial secretary and Treasurer with Engineer Bello and Ambassador Nafiu Kofarmata clinched the PRO 1 and PRO 2 positions. Others included Ana’s Mailemo, welfare officer, Kabiru Yakubu Auditor and Tijjani Muhammad legal adviser.
