Federal University Dutse says it will soon establish an Agric extension radio station in order to sensitize farmers.
The vice-chancellor of the university Professor Abdulkarim Sabo Muhammad made the statement at a maiden press briefing held at the university’s senate building.
Prof Sabo said the radio station will be a community service-based to sensitize farmers on the importance of farming.

The Vice-chancellor added that part of his goals is to make the federal university a modern one that is advanced technology with an untainted reputation.
On research, Professor Abdulkarim Sabo said he also intends to create annual research and innovation competition and to introduce public-private partnerships for student hostels and beautifying the university’s landscape among others.
According to the Vice-chancellor, his administration also intends to strengthen staff welfare through revitalizing staff revolving loans and micro-financing.
Professor Abdulkarim Sabo said that very soon FUD will establish the faculty of Law and Engineering.
The maiden press conference also coincided with the anniversary of the establishment of the Federal University Dutse which came into being on March 10th,2011
