Alhaji Mahmoud Ali Mahmoud Joins Chadian Presidential Election

A prominent politician in Chad Alhaji Ali Mahmud has joined the presidential election in Chad which is scheduled to hold in the month of April.

 

Alhaji Ali Mahmoud is set to challenge President Idris Deby who has been ruling the North-central African country since 1990.

In a special chat with the NIGERIAN TRACKER, Alhaji Ali Mahmoud is contesting under the platform of the federal party for justice and development PFJD said their party was created 5 years ago.

He said one of the problems the politics of chad is bedeviled with is  there are opposing forces that is hindering politicians from the Northern part of the country to contest the presidency.

 

He said the southern part of the country has dominated everything but now they have won a case in the supreme court when they were prevented from contesting the presidency.

 

The presidential candidate added that his party ,the party for justice and development has adopted him as a consensus candidate to fly its flag in the forthcoming presidential election in Chad.

 

Alhaji Ali Mahmoud promised to reposition the country to greater heights if elected president of Chad in April.

 

Since the overthrow of Hissan Habre ,Idris Deby an army general held sway as President of Chad when he transmuted into a civilian president since he seized power 31 year ago.
