Before his Excellency President Muhammadu Buhari GCFR join partisan politics, Daura is one of the strongest support base of our beloved party, PDP in Katsina State.
After he joined the opposition party ,Daura turned to be the headquarters of the opposition in the state which resulted to the rejection of our great party whereby to be a PDP supporter one will be treated as an outcasts and totally rejected simply because they are not in the opposition party.
PDP as a great party have achieved considerable successes in terms of human and infrastructural development of the entire state with notable capital human development programs.
It becomes an attitude, habits and well established tradition to abused, mocked, ridicule and above all stigmatized the PDP lead government and it’s officials as thieves with slogans PDP WAWA/YAN WAWA, BARAYI without decorum and respect for the government officials.
From APP up to APC members of the then main opposition party paraded themselves as saints and their supporters used every available means and opportunity to disgraced members of the then ruling party.

Opposition party in the Katsina State promised the indigenes of the State they will turn things around better than what late Alhaji Umaru Musa Yar’adua and Barrister Ibrahim Shehu Shema did to develop the state.
People in the state and those like us that came casually knows what Governor Aminu Bello Masari did for their state in terms of massive infrastructures that cannot be forgotten in the state.
In 2015 there was massive jubilation in Katsina State to celebrate the victory of APC which ended the ruling of thieves and brought in the saints to lead the state with high expectations that the government of APC will surpass the successes recorded by the previous administrations in terms of capital, human and infrastructure.
However, the good people of Katsina since the first tenure of the current administration saw that, the APC lead government is not match and uncomparable to our great party PDP because there is no sign that APC will catch-up with the achievements of PDP talk less of exceeding what PDP achieved which each and everyone of us can glaringly see on ground and verifiable.
When our great party came, it did not scrambled or tempered with the State’s assets especially landed property. Out of the love for the development of the State, PDP the stigmatized thieves protect the existing infrastructures and built additional infrastructures at the state and local government areas.
Whosoever is following social media the news trending from Katsina State will come across posts, comments and reactions on land allocation, it is not a new things to see online protests against the allocations of land to some selected few due to some personal interests as a favor to those that are closed to the government.
What drawn my attention to write this piece is the recent online arguments and debates generated by a post whereby Katsina State allocated shops build by Daura Local Government to the APC party Chairman of Daura.
My conclusions from what I read is that I am highly impressed by the comments that followed where the majority do not support such gift to the party Chairman because is not in the best interests of the general public but promotion of personal interests.
My loyalty to my great party PDP does not blind me to see the good sides of His Excellency President Muhammadu Buhari GCFR as a honest and no nonsense man who’s name is synonymous to anti-corruption as well as father and grandfather that deserved our respect.
Personally I have no reason to blame President Muhammadu Buhari and directly link him with this ugly development under the watch of his party ,is a serious setback on anti-corruption crusade, slap on his face and the entire state.
If there is any state that would be expected to lead by example in terms of accountability, prudence and transparency is Katsina State as his State and Daura his hometown will be a no-go-area of any allocation of government property, but unfortunately APC party Chairman was allocated with local government property as compensation for his plots acquired by Daura Local Government.
To me this is a compensation of the century which gives buildings that are more valuable than the plots which belongs to him. This is happening under the watch of the Saints. The so-called PDP thieves preserved and protected these shops, but the Saints got away with it not in the best interests of Daura people but for selfish interests.
