Dantata Foods Collaborate to promote Agric Insurance

The Nigeria Agricultural Insurance Corporation (NAIC) is collaborating with Dantata Foods and Allied Products Limited to promote agricultural insurance in Northern Nigeria.

 

This was disclosed by the Kano branch manager of the National Agricultural Insurance Corporation Alhaji Danladi Mato after a brief meeting with the management of the company.

 

Danladi said Kano as one of the states with the highest number of farmers in the country has all the potential to change the direction of the nation’s economy through diversification into the agric business.

He stated that with the support from agro-processing industries like Dantata Foods which engages thousands of farmers, agric Insurance can be easily promoted to protect smallholder farmers.

 

In his reaction, the chairman of the company, Alh. Tajuddeen Aminu Dantata, reassures his company’s commitment to ensure that farmers get value for their produce through a steady farmer-processor relationship.
