International Republican Institute (IRI) has commended Speaker of the Bauchi State House of Assembly Rt. Hon. Abubakar Y Suleiman for his good leadership in the legislative arm.
The Institute made the commendation in a congratulatory message to the Speaker signed by the Institute’s Resident Programme Director in Nigeria Angela Wambugu to congratulate the Speaker and Members of the Assembly on their one year in office.
According to her, Speaker Abubakar Suleiman’s leadership which provided stability for members to perform their legislative roles in an inclusive and transparent manner is commendable.
In a statement by the House spokesperson Abdul Ahmad Burra quoted IRI as saying “IRI is proud of our partnership with you and the House which has led to an increase in the level of Members’ citizens engagement and legislative initiatives in response to citizens service delivery concern in the State” She said.
