In response to the voluntary resignation of the Head of the Civil Service of Kano State, Alh. Usman Bala, mni, His Excellency, Engr. Abba Kabir Yusuf, the Executive Governor of Kano State, has taken decisive action. He has directed Haj. Mu’azatu Isa Dutse (Mrs.), the Permanent Secretary in charge of Council Affairs, to oversee the Office of the Head of Service on an interim basis until a new appointment is made.
This directive is set to take effect from Wednesday, November 1, 2023, as announced by Abdullahi Baffa Bichi, PhD, the Secretary to the State Government.
The move aims to ensure the uninterrupted functioning of the Civil Service in Kano State following the departure of the former Head of Service. Further developments regarding the selection of a new Head of the Civil Service will be anticipated in the near future.
