Startups in Northwest ha organized a road walk in Kano on Tuesday to sensitize residents ahead of 2023 Digital Nigeria Conference in Abuja.
The road walk was led by the coordinator of Arewa Startup, Mr Ahmad Idris.
Idris said the walk was a dynamic and engaging event that serves as a pre-event to the main conference, designed to bring the spirit of innovation, collaboration, and entrepreneurship directly to communities in the northwest region.
He added that the annual event was organized by ministry of communication, innovation and digital economy and championed by NITDA.
The coordinator further said that the program was also organized to create awareness to startups and any other player in the industry.
He explained that about 80 startups in the region participated in the exercise.
According to him, the participants include software engineers, students, lecturers, enterpreneurs and tech companies.
The coordinator explained that 12 startups would take part part in the pitch competition session where the six Startups selected by panel of judges would be invited to apply for Digital Nigeria International Conference where they c go on stage to make presentation.
Participant, Fahad Adam, founder of Kasuwar Kano E-commerce and Ahmad Bako, founder of ESDIAC calling appreciated the ministry of communication, innovation and digital economy and NITDA for the opportunity to showcase their talents.
