Coach Abdullahi Maikaba Unveiled as New Technical Adviser of Kano Pillars FC”

Coach Abdullahi Maikaba has been unveiled as the new Technical Adviser of Kano Pillars Football Club. He signed a two-year football season contract with Sai Masu Gida from the 2023/2024 to 2024/2025 seasons. Coach Maikaba will be assisted by Abubakar Abubakar, aka Senior, as Chief Coach, Ahmad Garba Yaro Yaro as Coach, Gambo Muhammad as Assistant Coach, and Auwalu Abbas as Goalkeeper Trainer.

During the unveiling ceremony in his office, Kano State Deputy Governor Comrade Aminu AbdulSalam Gwarzo charged him to tighten his belt to revive the glory of the club. Comrade Aminu AbdulSalam Gwarzo congratulated him and described his appointment as timely, considering his vast experience in football coaching at various clubs across the country. The Deputy Governor pledged the state government’s determination to continue supporting the team morally and financially to meet their objectives. He also assured that the Kano State government would soon renovate Sani Abacha Stadium, Kofar Mata, Kano.

He commended the management and players of the club for their hard work, which led the club’s return to the Premier League. Comrade Aminu AbdulSalam Gwarzo appreciated the club’s supporters and the good people of Kano State for their untiring support and prayers for the team, urging them to sustain the momentum.

Earlier, the club’s Chairman, Alhaji Babangida Umar Little, said that Coach Abdullahi Maikaba’s appointment was based on merit, and they have confidence that he will move the club forward.

In response, the newly appointed Technical Adviser, Coach Abdullahi Maikaba, thanked the club’s management for having confidence in him and pledged to justify the trust reposed in him.
