As BIKOBA, is mourning the passing away of one of its Icon member and patron, late emir of Dutse Alhaji Dr. Nuhu Muhammad Sanusi CON, President of the Association Alhaji Ja’afar Usman Muhammad (Turakin Gaya) said the Nation has lost a great traditional leader who dedicated his life time to the service of humanity.

The National officers of BIKOBA have paid a condolence visit to the Dutse Emirate Council, Government and the people of Jigawa state over the death of the emir who double as Chancellor of Sokoto state University, Sokoto.

Alhaji Nuhu Muhammad Sanusi who graduated from Government Unity College Birnin Kudu, during its early stage (Senior Primary School) from 1957-1959, led his subjects with humility , humane, dignity and passion, said the president. Noting that, “his dedication and sacrifice to the promotion of Islamic teachings and practice in leadership is worthy for emulation”.

The president explained that, as royal father, Dr Nuhu Muhammad Sanusi has worked with high sense of responsibility and responsiveness towards modernizing traditional institutions in northern Nigeria.

According to BIKOBA President, prior to his enthronement as emir of Dutse in the year 1995, late Dr Nuhu Muhammad Sanusi has contributed immensely to the development of the Nation’s educational, aviation and financial sectors where he served as senior lecturer Bayero University, Kano, Marketing Manager, New Nigerian Development Company as well as Board member, Nigerian Airways.

In a statement issued to newsmen by the body’s National publicity secretary Mahmud Ibrahim Kwari said Alhaji Ja’afar Usman Muhammad has on behalf of entire members of BIKOBA Family, prayed to Allah almighty, to grant him eternal rest and make Jannatul Firdausee to be his final destination.
