Despite anointment of Alhaji Nasiru Yusuf Gawuna as APC Gubernatorial aspirant by Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje which was endorsed by APC stakeholders in Kano ,one of the aspirants Barrister Inuwa Ibrahim Waya is still in the race to succeed Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje.
A reliable source close to the politician told NIGERIAN TRACKER that Barrister Ibrahim Inuwa Waya will still slug it out with Deputy Governor Nasiru Yusuf Gawuna and other aspirants during the forth coming APC Gubernatorial primaries scheduled for May 17th.
Inuwa Waya became a House hold name in Kano political circle when he resigned from the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation after 32 years of service and join the Gubernatorial race.

It can be recalled that on the 4th of December 2014 when the then Governor of Kano state Engineer Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso anointed his deputy to succeed him aspirants like Brigadier General Lawal Jaafar Isa contested the Primaries with Governor Ganduje held at the indoor sports hall of Sani Abacha stadium in Kano.
