Gawuna Attends Kano Emir’s 2nd Anniversary Special Prayer

Kano State Governor Dr.Abdullahi Umar Ganduje on Friday attended the Special Prayer held to commemorate the 2nd anniversary of Alh.Aminu Ado Bayero as the Emir of Kano and was represented by his deputy Alhaji Nasiru Yusuf Gawuna.

The Special Prayer Session which was conducted at the Kano Central Mosque was led by the Chief Imam of Kano,Prof.Muhammad Sani Zahraddeen and Waziri of Kano, Alh.Sa’ad Shehu Gidado respectively.

In their separate prayers, they preached brotherhood and unity and also prayed to Almighty Allah for continued peaceful-coexistence of people of Kano and the country at large.

They also thanked Allah for making the reign of Alh.Aminu Ado Bayero to witness alot of development of Kano Emirate and the State in general.

On his part, the Emir, Alh.Aminu Bayero gave glory to Almighty Allah for the guidance and opportunity to serve his people.

He equally appreciated the support given to him in the last 2 years by the State Government, Members of the Emirate Council and the people of the State.

The Emir however appealed to traders not to hike the cost of commodities as the Ramadan fasting approaches.

The Governor who was represented by his deputy, Dr.Nasiru Yusuf Gawuna congratulated the Emir for the success recorded within the period.

He urged the Emir to continue to give his support towards the unity,peaceful coexistence and security of the people of his emirate and the state at large.

In a statement by Hassan Musa Fagge said the Prayer Session was attended by top government functionaries, members of the emirate council, Islam clerics and other stakeholders.
