The Nigerian Armed Forces says it will continue to collaborate with relevant agencies in providing quality pediatric treatment to children as part of it corporate social responsibility.
Chief of Defense Staff Lucky Irabor said this in Kano at the commissioning of a pediatric surgical theatre donated to the armed forces specialist hospital by a non governmental organization, Smile Training.
Children born with cleft will now breathe a sigh of relief following the donation of a surgical theatre well equipped.
The chief of defense staff represented by Major General Ginikanwa Nwosu said the surgical theatre will help in solving cleft challenge in children.
Nwosu said the centre is accessible for all Nigerians to benefit from it.
While donating the equipment, regional director of the initiative, Nkeiruka Obi said their aim is to ensure every child enjoys free access to cleft surgery.
The centre was commissioned by the emir of Dutse, Nuhu Sanusi who applauded the initiative.

Says this facilities are pediatric operating suit and recovery room and 3D cone beam cephalometric x-ray machine and also a royal dental clinic.
