A former Chief of Army Staff during the Shagari administration Gen. Mohammed Inuwa Wushishi dies in London.
Wushishi, who hailed from Niger State, served as army chief from 1981 to 1983.

The deputy Press secretary to Niger state Governor Habibu Wushishi confirmed the death to NIGERIAN TRACKER noting that General Muhammad Inuwa Wushi shi died in a London Hospital
When the army toppled Shagari’s administration in 1983 he was retired from the army.
