Members of the Association of Northern Community and Progressives, in Rivers State, have expressed profound appreciation at Governor Wike’s prompt decisive action to contain recent indiscriminate killings of, and attacks on Northerners and their properties, by members of the proscribed unruly IPOB in the State.
…pleading with him to deepen and sustain his impressive security Interventions, especially for the vulnerable Northerners.
The Association under Alhaji Ibrahim Maisundu, explained that the timely intervention by the Governor, was in his empathetic character, and in line with his known official policy, to make Rivers State safe, and generally conducive for all Nigerians resident there, to pursue their livelihood without let and hindrance.
They describe Governor Wike as a rare political gem, blessed with an awesome national outlook on issues, who always sees and appreciates good in others.

The Association promises to reciprocate the life-saving gesture, by making the deliberate move to mobilize members of the Northern Community in the State, to rally around his Administration, to take the State to greater heights.
While sympathizing with families of those killed, and the surviving victims of the recent misfortunes of the Northerners in that State, the Association condemns in strong terms, the destructive activities, and habitual anarchical tendencies of the disgruntled members of the outlawed IPOB.
It also dissociates from insinuations implicating the State Governor and his administration, in the sad Development, which they said were clearly orchestrated to distract the Governor, and cause a setback to his enviable, and exceptionally performing Administration.
The Association however commended the Northerners in the State, for restraining themselves at the heat of the attacks on them by the IPOB, in appreciation of the Governor’s resourcefulness and proactive measures.
The Northern Progressives’ Association, implores the Governor, to look into the possibility of taking further mitigative measures, for both the surviving victims and bereaved families of those who lost their lives.
The Association made bold to describe Governor Wike as a man of huge altruistic disposition, who is always sympathetiç towards those treated unjustly, or subjected to persecution in the State, regardless of their backgrounds and creeds.
The Northern Community and Progressives Association also praised the Governor for the numerous enduring legacy projects being executed and the general conspicuous infrastructural development of cross-section of the State.
The Association undertakes to put everything they have on the line, to defend and launder good image, person, administration, and awesome political clout of the Governor, especially in the North, against individuals or groups trying to portray him otherwise.
They then urged the Governor to intervene further in restoring normalcy in the commercial activities of the State, especially as they affect the Northerners.
