Emir Bayero Commits To  Upgrading of Kano International Grains Market

The Emir of Bichi emirate council, Nasiru Ado Bayero has disclosed that the process to further upgrade the renown  Dawanau International grains market has commenced.

 

The monarch disclosed that the emirate as part of its developmental initiative has sketched out plans to heighten the commercial status of the market.

 

Bayero said the market plays a crucial role in supplying the grain needs of countries in parts of   West Africa, Europe, and America, adding that the emirate would continue to enact policies that would enhance the capacity of the market to enable it to yield more economic dividends.

 

According to him, the emirate council has engaged the Federal Ministry of Agriculture to construct more feeder roads to further boost economic activities in the area.

 

Emir Bayero also stated that the boosting of the market would also improve the living standards of the rural populace.

 

He disclosed that plans for the construction of (350) Three Hundred and fifty hector length of the solar village in the emirate council are at an advanced stage.

 

He noted that the project when completed would extend support to small and medium scale enterprises operating in the area.
