<p>His Spokesman Alhaji Abdullahi Musa Huguma stated this in an interview with the <strong><em>Nigerian Tracker</em></strong>.</p>

<p>Malam Abdullahi Musa Huguma said the representatives of the All Progressives Congress from the National Headquarters are arranging well to ensure that Malam Takai is well received by the APC.</p>
<p>Currently, Malam Salihu Sageer Takai is meeting with the National Secretariat of the APC and the Kano state government to ensure smooth reception into the party in the next eight to seven days.</p>
<p>On the rumors going around that Malam Salihu Sageer was appointed member of the board of Nigeria’s Port Authority, Malam Abdullahi Musa Huguma said it was not true and is the work of rumor mongers.</p>
<p>He said no one can also prevent them from circulating such rumors.</p>
<p>Recently the popular gubernatorial candidate in Kano Malam Salihu Sageer Takai decamped from the People’s Redemption Party(PRP) on whose platform he contested the 2019 gubernatorial election and came third in the first round of the election</p>

<p>Malam Takai had also contested the election in the year 2011 and 2015 under the platforms of the defunct All Nigeria Peoples Party (ANPP) and the People’s Democratic Party PDP</p>
