Breaking: KAROTA ban Trailers from loading at Sabongari Market area

Kano Roads and Traffic agency KAROTA has ban Trailers from loading goods at Sabongari Market area.

This was contained in a statement released to Newsmen by KAROTA public relations officer Nabulusi Kofar Naisa.

The Managing Director of Kano Road and Traffic Agency (KAROTA), Honorable (Dr.)Baffa Babba Dan’agundi whishes to announce that henceforth, trailer drivers are prohibited from offloading their goods during the day in Singer, Bello Road, Sabon Gari, France Road, Igbo Road and ‘Yan Kura markets except at night.

KAROTA  To Enforce Two Passengers Per Tricycle on Sallah Day

The ban which commences from 10th of August, 2020 shall remain in place until the leaders of the above markets come up with new modalities and provisions where trailer drivers can comfortably park and offload their vehicles without blocking the easy flow of traffic.

However, drivers passing through the state are allowed to do so while store and warehouse holders with adequate space for such trucks are allowed to offload their goods during the day hours.

Trailer drivers are advised to utilize the Dangwauro Trailer Park as well as the parking space at Eid Prayer ground Kano.

KAROTA wishes to reiterate that henceforth, no parking of trailers by the roadside in the state'”
