KAROTA  To Enforce Two Passengers Per Tricycle on Sallah Day

The Managing Director of Kano Road and Traffic Agency (KAROTA)  in North-West Nigeria Baffa Babba Dan’agundi has assured that personnel of t Agency would be on the streets of Kano for easy flow of traffic during the forthcoming  Eid-el-Kabir Celebration.

KAROTA urged Motorists and commuters to respect all traffic laws during and after the period and accord KAROTA personnel all necessary cooperation to enable them to carry out their duties effectively.

In a statement by the KAROTA public relations officer, Nabulusi Abubakar Kofar Naisa said the Managing Director warned those engaged in a car race and other dangerous ways of driving would be arrested and prosecuted.

‘’Parents are also advised to desist from giving their underage children/wards, any vehicle to drive especially during the festive period which has become common as such action would not be tolerated by the agency, any underage caught driving would be apprehended and the vehicle seized.’ Said the statement

Baffa Babban Dan’Agundi added that Tricycle operators are also reminded that only two passengers are allowed and must wear a face mask while overload cars are also not allowed just as carrying a passenger on a motorcycle is strictly prohibited.
