Police launched an inquiry into the suicide of 25-year-old Man in Kano

The police authority in Kano has launched a comprehensive inquiry on the circumstances that led to the tragic death of Ashiru Musa Danrimi, a member of the Neighborhood watch in Kano.

The 25-year-old was suspected to have committed suicide over a failed romance after a long courtship.

DSP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa when contacted said the Commissioner of police, Habu A. Sani has ordered Detectives to unravel the myth surrounding the death of the young man.

DSP Kiyawa said “we are exploiting every lead connected to the tragic incident, and we also leave no stone unturned to get to the roots of this matter.

He said though “we recovered a knife stuck to his bowel while conveying him to the hospital on an emergency before he gave up the ghost, however, it is not enough to allow the case died down.

An eye witness who spoke on the account of anonymity said that Musa Danrimi took his own life when he learned that his girlfriend, was married off to another man, Independent reports.

DailyNews24.ng reports that the young lady at the center of the troubled romance was identified as Ummi Muhammad, a resident of Danrimi, Kadawa ward of Ungogo local government area of the state.

The witness who does not want his name on print because of the sensitive nature of the crisis explained that the Danrimi’s emotional investments on Ummi was heavy, but wasn’t expected to end in a tragedy.

He explained that Danrimi caught everyone unaware of his plan, as last-minute efforts by relation and bystanders to forestall the heinous act failed.

The witness said the relationship between late Danrimi and Umi was a popular one within the neighborhood and was quick to rule out force marriage.
