COVID 19: Murtala Muhammad foundation distributes palliatives to 280 widows and orphans in Kano

 Murtala Muhammad foundation has distributed palliatives to cushion the effects of Covid 19 pandemic to 280 families of widows and orphans .


The representative of the foundation in Kano Jamilu Sule Aliyu stated this while inaugurating the programme in Fagge local government area of the state.

He said the gesture was to support government efforts and to ease the sufferings of orphans and widows that may arise as a result of the lock down noting that the 8 metropolitan local governments of Kano state were selected for the distribution.

                            Some beneficiaries 

Jamilu Sule Aliyu said the programme will be extended to remaining local governments in the state under the leadership of Aisha Muhammad Oyebode ,the daughter of the late Head of state Murtala Muhammad.


Flagging off the programme at Fagge local government area the District Head of Fagge Alhaji Mahmud Ado Bayero said the widows were selected transparently from the wards.

                            Some of the palliatives

Mahmud Ado Bayero who was represented by Maikudi Shitu Fagge prayed to Allah to repose the soul of Late General Murtala Ramat Muhammad.

On of the Beneficiaries Balara Abdullahi expressed her gratitude for the gesture.
