Kano lockdown: Some cemeteries bury more than 30 corpse daily.

As the lock down in Kano entered its fourth day ,some old cemeteries within the ancient city record at least burial of thirty people to above .


In an interactive session with our correspondent, the Nigerian Tracker learnt from a cemetery attendant along Abbatoir in Kano that from last Wednesday, two days to the lockdown at least thirty people are buried in the cemetery daily.



He said even during the 2014 Central Mosque bombing they have never recorded such a scenario.


‘’As Iam talking to you this Monday afternoon, 18 corpses were brought to this cemetery alone, and we are also digging more graves”.said the attendant.



He added that the flow of corpses may be another epidemic not necessarily corona virus.

But for Dandolo cemetery situated around Goron Dutse ,the cemetery attendants told the Nigerian Tracker that from last week they received between 10 to 12 corpses per day.


In his reaction to the reported mass death in some parts of Kano, the state commissioner for information  Malam Muhammad Garba told reporters that Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje has directed for investigation into the matter.
