<p>The family of Ahmed Musa, a student brutally murdered at Government Technical College, Malali, Kaduna, on February 16, 2025, has expressed outrage and disappointment following the release of the prime suspect in the case.</p>
<p>In a strongly worded statement issued on Wednesday, the family accused the Kaduna State Government of neglect and betrayal, insisting that the decision to release the suspect has obstructed the path to justice.</p>
<p>“The release of the prime suspect has hindered justice. We feel neglected and betrayed,” the family declared. “We demand an expedited, transparent, and decisive legal process. We will resist any attempts at political interference or compromise.”</p>

<p>The family announced plans to seek redress at the Federal High Court, where they will demand justice and adequate compensation for what they described as unfair treatment. Specifically, they are seeking â¦560,300,000 (Five Hundred and Sixty Million, Three Hundred Thousand Naira) in compensation from the Kaduna State Government.</p>
<p>Beyond the courtroom, the family revealed that they will organize a mass protest across Kaduna State to draw public attention to the case. The protest, they said, will highlight the injustice suffered by Ahmed Musa and the neglect they believe has characterized the government’s handling of the matter.</p>

<p>Comrade Musa Mohammed, popularly known as Moonlight and the biological father of the late Ahmed Musa, signed the statement on behalf of the family. He appealed to the public, civil society organizations, and human rights advocates to support their quest for justice.</p>
<p>The murder of Ahmed Musa earlier this year shocked the Malali community and sparked widespread calls for accountability. With the family now vowing to escalate the matter through legal and civic channels, the case is expected to remain in the public spotlight as demands for justice intensify.</p>
