<p>The announcement was contained in an official letter dated November 5, 2025, and signed by the Registrar, Ms Olufunke E. Hudson.</p>
<p>According to the letter, the university’s Senate and Governing Council unanimously approved Kansila’s nomination in recognition of his notable contributions to the growth and development of the education sector in Kogi State and across Nigeria.</p>

<p>Ms. Hudson noted that Kansila’s recognition reflects the institution’s appreciation for individuals who have demonstrated significant commitment to educational advancement.</p>

<p>She described the honour as “a rare recognition” and congratulated the awardee on behalf of the management, staff and students of CUSTECH.<br />
The institution reaffirmed its high regard for the UYK Consortium chairman and expressed optimism that his recognition would further strengthen partnerships aimed at enhancing educational development in the state.</p>
