<p>The Management of Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, has called on the University Community to submit memoranda centered on reviewing certain programs in the university that are irrelevant to the current national developmental needs and global demands.</p>
<p>This was disclosed on Friday, November 21, 2025, in a bulletin released by the institution through the office of the Director of the Public Affairs Directorate of the university, and signed by the Reference Committee Secretary, Yakubu A. Anivbassa.</p>
<p>&#8220;Sequel to the constitution and inauguration of the committee on the Review of Course Offerings by the University Management, members of the University Community are hereby invited to submit memoranda in respect of the following terms of Reference of the Committee,&#8221; part of the statement said.</p>

<p>The institution listed three items as part of the terms of Reference of the Committee in which persons intending to make submissions should follow:</p>

<p>1. Critically review all existing course to assess their current relevance to national development and global trends</p>
<p>2. Evaluate the structure, content and durations of all academic programs ensuring coherence and eliminating unnecessary overlaps</p>
<p>3. Recommend the rationalization of programs, including the introduction of new demand-driven courses</p>
<p>The University further stated that those interested to make contribution should make their hard copies submission at Room 711, 7th floor of the University&#8217;s Senate building, while those willing to contribute with soft copies should do that through the University&#8217;s official email, registrar@abu.edu.ng.</p>
<p>Renowned Academics, home and abroad, have reacted to the announcement, noting that it&#8217;s a welcoming exercise.</p>
