<p>Takai, a former gubernatorial candidate under the All Nigeria People&#8217;s Party (ANPP), has held several key positions including Local Government Chairman and Commissioner in Kano State. His selection was facilitated by the Deputy President of the Senate, Senator Barau Jibrin.</p>
<p>Reacting to the development, Musa Illiyasu Kwankwaso, Director of Finance at Hadejia Jama’are River Basin, praised both Senator Barau Jibrin and President Tinubu. In a press statement, he said:</p>
<p>“Senator Barau deserves commendation for convincing the President to take action that truly benefits Kano’s poverty-stricken citizens. President Tinubu’s decision to appoint Takai reflects his commitment to grassroots development.”</p>

<p>Kwankwaso emphasized Senator Barau’s consistent efforts in securing federal appointments for Kano indigenes and his contributions across various sectors in the state. He added:</p>

<p>“Barau’s dedication shows he is the right person to lead Kano come 2027.”</p>
<p>He described Takai as a man of integrity, faith, and financial discipline, noting that former Governor Ibrahim Shekarau endorsed him as ANPP’s sole gubernatorial candidatewaso further stated:</p>
<p>“In every office Takai has held, he has served with distinction and left without any blemish. His record is clean and commendable.”</p>
<p>He expressed gratitude to President Tinubu for his foresight, saying:</p>
<p>“This appointment will surely endear Kano people to the President and earn him massive support in the next general election.”</p>
<p>Kwankwaso, who was also appointed by President Tinubu, concluded by affirming Kano’s loyalty:</p>
<p>“We assure President Tinubu that Kano stands firmly behind him. The people will support his re-election in 2027 because of the good he is doing for them.”</p>
