including&colon;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>₦1&period;49bn for settlement of debts owed to boarding school feeding suppliers&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>₦2&period;54bn for the renovation of Government Technical College&comma; Ungogo &lpar;Phase II&rpar;&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>₦400m for procurement of office furniture and fittings at Northwest University&comma; Kano&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>₦270&period;9m for completion of the E-Library at Kano State College of Education and Preliminary Studies&period;<br &sol;>&NewLine;Other allocations cover payments to NBAIS&comma; school accreditations&comma; and instructional material production&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Health Sector – ₦274m<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>₦274&comma;076&comma;413&period;48 was approved for the renovation and upgrade of healthcare facilities&comma; including&colon;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>₦915m for construction of a water treatment plant at Taliwaiwai&comma; Rano LGA&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>₦1&period;75bn for settlement of debts on diesel and petrol supply to water treatment plants&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>₦670m for KEDCO electricity bills covering three months&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Works and Infrastructure – ₦9&period;85bn<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>The Ministry of Works and Infrastructure received the largest allocation&comma; with ₦9&comma;854&comma;326&comma;460&period;92 approved for multiple road&comma; flood control&comma; and renovation projects&period;<br &sol;>&NewLine;Major projects include&colon;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>₦2&period;63bn for construction of Dambatta–Gwarabjawa Road&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>₦2&period;47bn for installation of traffic lights across major roads in Kano&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>₦810&period;8m for installation of road studs within Kano Metropolis&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>₦388&period;5m for flood control works at Baban Gwari Roundabout&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>₦339&period;6m for solar-powered streetlights at Kwankwasiyya City&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Power and Renewable Energy – ₦979&period;8m<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>₦979&comma;889&comma;993&period;56 was approved to enhance energy sustainability&period;<br &sol;>&NewLine;This includes ₦840&period;3m for a 150KW solar power back-up system at Africa House and ₦139&period;5m for solar installations at the Council Affairs Directorate&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Supplementary List of Approvals<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>₦149&period;3m for Hajj operations under the Office of the Deputy Governor&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>₦126m for three Toyota Hilux vehicles under the Office of the Secretary to the State Government&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>₦586&period;5m for construction of weighbridges at Doguwa and five major entry points to Kano under the Ministry of Mineral Resources&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Key Deliberations and Decisions were also made on some Public Policies&period; They are&colon;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>1&period; Construction of 50 low-cost houses across 36 local government areas to provide affordable housing for low-income earners&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>2&period; Government acquisition of majority shares in KEDCO to improve energy sufficiency and foster industrial growth&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>3&period; Adoption of the Kano State Electricity Policy under the Ministry of Power and Renewable Energy&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Comrade Waiya noted that the approvals reflect Governor Yusuf’s administration’s commitment to infrastructural renewal&comma; educational advancement&comma; healthcare improvement&comma; access to clean water&comma; and sustainable energy development&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>He reaffirmed the government’s pledge to uphold transparency&comma;
