<p>In an official statement signed by the Association’s Chairman, Alhaji Mustapha Balarabe, the body expressed deep regret over what it described as “unacceptable and condemnable behavior” by Bashir Hussain Adamu, an unregistered member of the association, and his student niece.</p>
<p>According to the statement, the duo’s disruptive conduct at the exam hall entrance violated the university’s rules on examination conduct and decorum, leading to a confrontation with a supervising faculty member.</p>

<p>Commendation for MAAUN’s Leadership</p>

<p>The Parents Association commended the MAAUN management for its long-standing commitment to discipline, professionalism, and academic excellence, noting that the university continues to uphold strong moral and educational values.</p>
<p>“Over the last decade, since the establishment of MAAUN campuses in Niger and now in Nigeria, we have witnessed consistent growth, quality teaching, and integrity-driven leadership. We, as parents, have every reason to be proud of MAAUN and its administration,”<br />
the statement read.</p>

<p>The Association cautioned parents and guardians against any actions that could disrupt the university’s peaceful learning environment, emphasizing that parents are not permitted access to examination halls or other restricted academic areas. Any engagement involving parents, it said, should be limited to the Administrative Block.</p>

<p>Condemnation of Manipulated Video and Online Blackmail</p>
<p>Reacting to a viral video of the incident circulating on social media, the Parents Association condemned the act, describing it as a deliberate attempt to misrepresent facts and tarnish the image of the university and its staff.</p>
<p>“We are appalled that Bashir Hussain Adamu and his student niece recorded, edited, and disseminated a manipulated video online to demean a faculty member and the institution. Such acts are unacceptable and constitute an assault on the dignity of our educators,”<br />
the Association stated.</p>

<p>The body further urged the university to take legal action against those involved, stressing that no individual should weaponize social media to intimidate or blackmail academic staff.</p>
<p>Call for Stronger Security Measures</p>
<p>The Parents Association also called on MAAUN’s management to strengthen campus security, faulting the security personnel who allowed unauthorized access to the examination area.</p>
<p>“We advise the university authority to take immediate and decisive action against the security personnel who failed in their duty. Accountability must be enforced to prevent a recurrence,”<br />
the statement added.</p>

<p>Questioning the Perpetrator’s Defense</p>
<p>The Association dismissed Bashir Hussain Adamu’s claim that he had gone to the exam area merely to assist his niece with payment clearance.</p>
<p>“If his purpose was only to secure clearance, why then did he follow her to the entrance of the examination hall? This inconsistency exposes an intent to provoke rather than to assist,”<br />
the Association argued.</p>

<p>Praise for Professor Gwarzo’s Leadership</p>
<p>Reaffirming its confidence in Professor Adamu Abubakar Gwarzo, the Founder and President of MAAUN, the Parents Association lauded his vision and contribution to education in Nigeria and Niger Republic.</p>
<p>“Professor Gwarzo’s tireless efforts have transformed MAAUN into a globally respected institution that promotes integrity, innovation, and excellence,”<br />
the statement said.<br />
“We remain proud partners in his mission to make MAAUN one of Africa’s leading private universities, providing world-class education and employment opportunities.”</p>

<p>The Parents Association reiterated its commitment to fostering a respectful, disciplined, and supportive learning environment, assuring the university of full cooperation in preventing future misconduct.</p>
<p>“We humbly request the faculty and staff to accept our profound apologies for any distress caused. The MAAUN Parents Association remains steadfast in supporting the university’s vision of academic excellence and moral development,” Alhaji Balarabe concluded.</p>
